Description

Huyck Industrials provides manufacturing companies with a wide range of Industrial Supplies and specializes in coatings. We are looking to fill one part-time position for a Sander/General Labourer in our Powder Coating Department.

The Powder Coating Department is a manually operated production line that requires team members to be physically fit and to enjoy being busy.

Role/Qualifications:

• Your primary responsibility will be to sand aluminum material, however you may also be required assist in any of the Powder Coating Stations as required to support production throughout the line._

Sanding_ _

• Using a palm sander to remove paint and defects from aluminum material_

Prep_ _

• Pulling material to fill orders, inspecting material for flaws, preparing material for coating (ex. cutting, drilling holes, sanding), racking material in preparation for Dipping_

Hanging_ _

• Hanging material onto Overhead Bars, Pushing /Pulling Bars in and out of Oven(s) and Coating Booth(s)_

Packaging_ _

• Inspect paint quality, package per customer specifications_

Respirator Required:_MUST BE CLEAN SHAVEN WHERE THE RESPIRATOR SEALS WITH YOUR FACE_
- _You must be able to push and pull heavy metal profiles on manual transfer load bar system_
- _You must be physically fit, able to be active on the job and lift up to 50lbs repetitively_
- _You must be able to complete work orders accurately, capable of speaking, reading and writing English_
- _You must have excellent attention to detail - frequent quality checks are a must_
- _You must have experience using a variety of power tools (ex. _
palm sander_, drill, chop saw)_
- _You must have excellent attendance - this position is 24 hours per week. Monday through Thursday from 4:30pm to 11:00pm._

You must be legally entitled to work in Canada and reside in the Lower Mainland_
