Position Summary

CIMCO is looking for an experienced working Production Weld Supervisor at their Manufacturing facility in Burlington.

Role Responsibilities

Be responsible for overseeing a team of employees on the shop floor
Ensures that all work is being performed in accordance with applicable safety standards and regulations
Provide guidance and instruction to workers regarding safety procedures and equipment operation
Monitors work progress and quality to ensure that projects are completed on time and to specifications
Maintain records of work performed, materials used, and safety incidents or violations
Collaborates with Foreman and Lead hands to coordinate work activities and schedules
May be involved in the hiring and training of new workers

Required Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

Past welding experience is required
Pipe and vessel experience an asset
CWB Ticket is an asset
Familiar, or worked with TSSA
Supervisory or Foreman experience required
Ability to effectively manage and instruct a team of employees
Ability to perform hands on work when required
Ability to problem solve, make decisions, plan and organize jobs and tasks.
Excellent interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills with an exceptional eye for detail.
Good computer skills
Familiar with a Unionized environment.
