Summary:


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee all HR functions, including performance management, employee benefits, job descriptions, policy development, professional development, training/development, and recruitment.
  • Support, advise, and coach leaders within the organization in accordance with local legislation and company policies.
  • Implement company and departmental strategies to increase employee satisfaction and promote continuous improvement.
  • Manage the performance management program in SAP SuccessFactors.
  • Handle employee orientation, onboarding, and offboarding processes, including new hire employment documents, payroll coordination, and exit interviews.
  • Manage employee exits, including terminations and drafting relevant documentation.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of HR practices and policies and recommend changes to improve processes.
  • Research industry trends, advise on how to reward and engage the workforce, and stay up to date with changes to compensation and benefits offerings.
  • Handle highly confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner.
  • Facilitate the resolution of employee or leadership concerns and questions, bringing together the appropriate stakeholders to manage conflict to resolution.
  • Maintain knowledge of key accountabilities for each position to ensure hiring aligns with business needs.
  • Work with business leaders to understand resource and skill needs and obtain approvals for backfills, new positions, etc.
  • Develop, execute, and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the HR team.
  • Track HR metrics, including turnover, recruitment, performance evaluations, and proactively develop action plans to drive continuous quality improvement.
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR federal and provincial requirements, conducting investigations, and maintaining records.
  • Draft companywide communication regarding HR initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum 9 years of progressive Human Resources experience within a large or midsized company.
  • Experience within an aerospace or manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
  • Experience with leading and participating in individual team projects with successful results.
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors (Employee Central, Performance, Goals, Recruitment, Onboarding, Learning, and Compensation) and Kronos time and attendance is considered an asset.
  • College diploma or undergraduate degree in a related field.
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or Certified Human Resources Leader (Additional HR certification) is preferred.
