Glencore's Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations
Sudbury, Ontario, Canada is one of the most geologically rich areas of the world.

This northern city in the Canadian Shield boasts a 60-kilometre-long formation called the Sudbury basin, which is brimming with nickel, copper, cobalt, gold, silver, platinum and palladium deposits.

It's also been home to Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations (Sudbury INO) since 1929.

Our Sudbury operations include exploration, underground mines, a mill and a smelter, and Onaping Depth, a deep mine project at Craig Mine, all located in this basin.

We currently employ more than 1,200 permanent employees and support another 1,200 contractors.

The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a

Pipefitter to join our

Glencore

Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations in Greater Sudbury, Ontario.
The position will be based at the Strathcona Mill.

This is a Permanent position.


Duties and Accountabilities:

Works in compliance with the Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations safety rules and the internal responsibility system.

Receives assigned tasks in the form of work orders.


Performs work in accordance with drawings and specifications or to established company procedure, existing regulations or to acceptable trades standards.

Lays out work; calculates dimensions and radii of bends; makes sketches of piping.

Sets up and operates bending, threading, cut-off machines and oxy-acetylene burning equipment. Uses hand tools to shape and fabricate piping.

Tests, inspects, installs, dismantles, repairs and cleans all types of high
- or low-pressure piping, fillings, fixtures and parts utilized in the maintenance, construction and repair of air, water, steam, fuel, gas and chemical process or service lines.

Maintains work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly condition

Performs other related duties as required.

Education
Applicants must have a Certificate of Apprenticeship and Certificate of Qualification as a Plumber or Steamfitter.
