Key global Electronic Manufacturing Services leadership position responsible for leading the Global Operations efforts enterprise wide as part of Creations' Operational Efficiency team.

The Global Operations Leader plays a key role in developing the overall strategy including circuit card assembly, box assembly, system integration standardization and the development, implementation, and performance validation of associated roadmaps.

This position functions in close cooperation with the Engineering & Operations teams to translate the needs of the business into strategy and action.


DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify Creations' circuit card assembly, box build assembly, & system integration manufacturing operations needs and translate the needs into strategy and action that meets or exceeds enterprise business excellence goals across Creation.

role in Creations' strategy process (circuit card assembly, box build assembly, high level assembly, technologies, automation, roadmaps) by voicing the needs of customers, Engineering and Operations functions. Use technical and operations knowledge to help create and maintain the strategy.

  • Communicate the Global Operations Assembly strategy and the overall Creation strategy as it relates to operations management to the extended team including supply chain, operations, sales and finance.


  • Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Provide guidance and leadership to the team and to other areas of the organization that interact with the Global Operations Assembly team (i.e. costing, finance, operations management, material, sites & regions) in order to achieve the enterprise goals.
  • Develop & maintain an indepth knowledge and understanding of the electronics manufacturing and assembly industry. Maintain a working knowledge of current equipment and automation suppliers, including their business models, products and solutions. Communicate internally the factors that may be changing and impacting the industry, and how those changes impact Creation.
  • Communicate clear objectives within and outside of the Global Operations Assembly team to ensure expectations and accountabilities are understood. Establish a consistent operating rhythm to normalize collaboration and help achieve goals.


  • Team Development

  • Develop a strong and capable team that functions as a unit, enabling revenue growth and financial performance that meets or exceeds established annual targets. In the process, hold the team accountable for results. Grow talent and develop successors/new Operations leaders for Creation.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support periodic multilevel internal business reviews to provide engagement at all levels of Creation and maintain consistency in the global processes.
  • Maintain, develop, and automate standardized processes and reports across global operations.
  • Design consistent KPI's/metrics across global enterprise to ensure documented accountability and alignment. Create dashboards with multilevel rollup to include but not limited to, Operations Assembly action and enhancement plans.
  • Build and maintain relationships within Creation to drive execution. Serve as a key escalation point to resolve issues related to Operations Assembly.
  • Lead the Operations Assembly teams enterprise wide to create and execute plans to differentiate Creation service offerings to increase profitability and enhance customer loyalty.
  • Support Operations Assembly preparation for customer site visits.
  • Frequent travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated 50%).
  • Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial)
  • Electronics manufacturing and assembly experience (10+ yrs.)
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience of an automation, engineering and/or manufacturing operations team preferred
  • Automation and robotics experience required
  • Knowledge of MES/ERP system functionality is required
  • Experience with some of Epicor ERP, Infor Fourth Shift ERP, Kinaxis Rapid Response MRP, Aegis Factory Logix MES and Valor MES is an asset
  • DFM, PFMEA, Lean/ Six Sigma Fundamentals required
  • PCBA, Box Build, Cable harness and System integration assembly processes and testing experience required
  • New Product Introduction experience is required
  • Budgeting and capital expenditures experience is required
  • Configuration management experience an asset
  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt/Green Belt an asset
  • ISO 9001 and ISO 13485/FDA experience preferred. AS9100 manufacturing experience is an asset.
