The Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF) is the National Government of the Red River Métis - also known as the Manitoba Métis.

The Red River Métis are Canada's Negotiating Partners in Confederation and the Founders of the Province of Manitoba.


The MMF seeks to fill
one full-time Clinical Services Assistant Manager position within our
Health & Wellness Department located at 150 Henry Ave in
Winnipeg, MB.

The Clinical Services Assistant Manager helps manage the coordination of citizen care by providing support, assistance, and leadership to other staff members.

The Assistant Manager will also be responsible for managing specific aspects of the clinical department they work in.

They will be responsible for supervising clinical staff, developing, and implementing policies and procedures, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.


_ Job Duties/Competencies:
_


  • Evaluate citizen care procedures and treatments to ensure quality and costeffectiveness;
  • Assist with keeping budgets and monitor financial activity for the department;
  • Keep abreast of new developments, initiatives, and opportunities for clinical services and HWD;
  • Perform administrative duties such as scheduling meetings and preparing correspondence;
  • Assist the Clinical Services Manager in planning, directing, and coordinating services;
  • Supervise and train staff members;
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Services Manager for organization of clinics and events;
  • Serve as a liaison between staff and manager when manager is not present;
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development;
  • Assist in development of policies and procedures.

_ Skills and Qualifications:
_


  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, business administration, or related field experience preferred;
  • Three to five years of experience in a clinical setting;
  • One to two years of management experience in a healthcare setting;
  • Proficient in

Microsoft Office:
Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint;

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and establish effective partnerships;
  • Experience working for a notforprofit organization and Indigenous community is an asset;
  • Knowledge of Red River Métis culture, MMF programs and services is a definite asset; and,
  • Ability to travel, valid Manitoba Driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle.
