High-Level Description
- Maintain and enhance Enbridge SCADA systems in support of Control Center Operations and related business areas
- Work with staff from other areas for the overall benefit of PCSLD and Enbridge.
- Manage and resolve client issues which includes but not limited to SCADA, Web Applications, Communications, Hardware, RTU, and PLC. Other business areas may also request assistance from the SCADA Support team.
Specific Accountabilities
- Work closely with Control Center Coordinators in the planning, organizing and delivering of support service to the Control Center
- Work closely with the Loss Management, Power and Margin, Infrastructure Optimization, Control System teams (among others) to assist on requests to meet business needs.
- Work closely with the SCADA Operations and Integration teams to ensure changes in the SCADA System is communicated with SCADA Support.
- Assist in SCADA system commissioning effort
- Provide support to SCADA projects in the role of Support Liaison
- Be part of the SCADA Support Service Desk rotation in the Control Center
- Be part of the team that works on Problem Reports requested from CCO
- Be part of the 24x7 support team on call rotation
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of SCADA best practices, standards, and operating procedures.
- Prepare and maintain documentation as per Enbridge standards
- Demonstrate commitment to the team and its success
- Participate in the Enbridge Health and Safety program

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
- A minimum of 4 year(s) of work experience.
- Working knowledge of UNIX/LINUX, C, C++, Java, Perl, SQL and Visual Basic programming language.
- Strong analytical, communications and problems solving skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
- Office environment with rare travel requirements.
- Fast paced work environment, requiring balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders
Job Type:
Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
