Reporting to the Director-International Student Program, performs a variety of administrative duties in the International Students Program.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs a variety of administrative duties to support the operational needs of the
- Liaises with students, parents, homestays, school contacts, agents and other
- Assists with Homestay Program, Summer Programs and other areas as required.
- Greets, screens, receives visitors to ISP reception counter.
- Provides translations as necessary.
- Assists with troubleshooting student and homestay issues.
- Maintains accurate records on a database and generates reports using computer software.
- Prepares information packages and couriers materials as required.
- Files and maintains a variety of reports.
- Maintains departmental records and files.
- Performs other assigned comparable duties that are within the scope of knowledge, skills and abilities required by this class specification.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Completion of Grade 12 including/supplemented by typing (60 wpm) and
- Two years of related experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively using tact and discretion in the explanation and clarification of information.
- Ability to speak a Second Language such as Mandarin or Cantonese.
- Ability to determine, judge and select appropriate course of action within limits
- Excellent organizational, analytical and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work with interruptions and to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal skills and have the ability to compose execute letters, memoranda and reports.
- Detailed knowledge of computers (e
g:
MS Office-Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Access).
- Physical ability to perform required duties.
