The current position is at the Montreal Marriott Château Champlain.

Acquired in 2018 by Tidan, this hotel is located in the heart of the Montreal metropolis.

The Marriott Château Champlain is a 1-minute walk from the metro, accessible by an underground route, adjacent to the Bell Center and also by 1000 de la Gauchetière.

This iconic and emblematic hotel in Montreal was completely renovated in 2021, with 36 floors, 614 rooms, 13 suites, 25 meeting rooms and can accommodate up to 1000 customers.

Task description:


  • Open and close employee files
  • Obtain information from the various establishments in order to produce payrolls within the prescribed deadlines
  • Import payroll transactions to the accounting system
  • Management of garnishment and remittance
  • Management of group insurance premiums
  • Management of taxable benefits
  • Management of deductions at source (DAS)
  • Produce statements for unemployment insurance
  • Assist in the production of annual reports (tax slips, summaries, tip credit, wage declaration, etc.)
  • Answer questions from team (general managers, supervisors and employees) regarding their payroll
  • Ensure that company act according to labor standards and collective agreements in force
  • Serve as a support for the accounting team
  • Human resources knowledge is a plus
  • Experience in the hotel industry is a plus
  • Payroll experience in a unionized environment in Quebec is essential
  • All other related tasks

Qualifications:


  • Payroll experience in a unionized environment in Quebec is essential
  • Knowledge of human resources in Quebec is essential
  • Very good knowledge of French both orally and in writing
  • Knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Word essential
  • Experience in the hotel industry is a plus
  • Knowledge of Nethris and Synerion/Timezone software is a plus
