The Opportunity
What you'll do here:
Accountable for ensuring all construction project management activities are successfully executed, including;
- Establishing and maintaining project budget
- Enforces change procedures
- Establishes schedule and staffing plans
- Negotiates and executes contracts and agreements in a timely and costeffective manner
- Chairs project management meetings with a focus on the best outcomes for Aecon
- Ensures all project reporting is accurate and timely
- Oversees testing, quality, and safety
- Manages client and vendor relationship
- Project risks and issues are logged and managed
- Ensures all project closeout activities are completed in a timely manner
- Demonstrates commercial acumen to protect profits and improve margins
Is also responsible for:
- Business development, including participation in costing and estimating activities and risk analysis
- Financial forecasting and contributing to creation of revenue targets
- Overseeing procurement including materials and subcontractors
What you bring to the team:
- Postsecondary education in engineering, construction management, or equivalent discipline
- Experience in Water based projects is considered an asset
- Roughly 5+ years of experience in Project Management, specifically in the construction industry.
- General knowledge of nonresidential construction methods, building systems, and terminology
