The Opportunity

What you'll do here:

Accountable for ensuring all construction project management activities are successfully executed, including;

Establishing and maintaining project budget
Enforces change procedures
Establishes schedule and staffing plans
Negotiates and executes contracts and agreements in a timely and costeffective manner
Chairs project management meetings with a focus on the best outcomes for Aecon
Ensures all project reporting is accurate and timely
Oversees testing, quality, and safety
Manages client and vendor relationship
Project risks and issues are logged and managed
Ensures all project closeout activities are completed in a timely manner
Demonstrates commercial acumen to protect profits and improve margins

Is also responsible for:

Business development, including participation in costing and estimating activities and risk analysis
Financial forecasting and contributing to creation of revenue targets
Overseeing procurement including materials and subcontractors

What you bring to the team:

Postsecondary education in engineering, construction management, or equivalent discipline
Experience in Water based projects is considered an asset
Roughly 5+ years of experience in Project Management, specifically in the construction industry.
General knowledge of nonresidential construction methods, building systems, and terminology
