YOUR DAY TO DAY:

You will be responsible for processing, tracking, and recording payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.


YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:


  • Administration of the the accounts payable inbox, direct invoices for approval and process to the correct GL Account
  • Completion of month end reconciliations
  • Completing a thorough review of all invoices to ensure accuracy and correct authorization and enter all approved invoices for payment.
  • Reviewing and processing employee expense reports and corporate credit card charges
  • Responding to internal & external inquiries, preparing vendor statement reconciliation and resolving outstanding balances on vendor accounts.
  • Ensuring compliance to the delegation of authority and business rules.
  • Recommending process improvements to gain efficiencies and to reduce errors.
  • Completing other A/P duties and support accounting adhoc requests as needed (e.g bank statement reconciliations)

YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS JOB IF YOU HAVE:

  • College Diploma in Accounting or High School Graduate with equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of Accounts Payable and vendor management experience
  • Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment an asset
  • Flexibility and are comfortable to adjust to new tasks in a rapidly changing and growing environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Experience with ERP system; (JDE an asset)
  • Initiative to learn and expand your skills.
  • Excellent organization skills Must be able to manage multiple priorities and workflow in a fastpaced environment with high level of accuracy, attention to details and meeting deadlines.
  • Work independently and can follow through to resolve issues that may arise.

Security

  • Must be able to meet Canadian Controlled Goods requirements.
