IO's Project Delivery Enterprise Team delivers some of the province's largest and most important public infrastructure projects, including new hospitals, highways, transit systems, and courthouses.

Our made-in-Ontario approach to modern project delivery has brought over 100 major projects to market and has made Ontario a global leader in infrastructure development by delivering new projects on time and on budget while meeting high standards for design, quality, and health and safety.

Infrastructure Ontario's Project Delivery division is responsible for the procurement and management of major infrastructure projects within IO's portfolio. We serve differing roles tailored to meet project and client needs. Our made-in-Ontario approach to project delivery and P3s as well as various other traditional delivery models (I.e. Design-Build, Construction Management) and collaborative delivery models have resulted in new hospitals, transit systems, highways, courthouses, and high-performance sports venues — all of them publicly owned and enriching the quality of life in communities across the province.

  • We are currently looking for summer students to support our various projects within the Project Delivery division, across various sectors including Healthcare (Hospitals & Long-Term Care), Justice, Education and various social infrastructure facilities, Light Rail Transit (LRT), Heavy Rail, Subways as well as support towards our Project Controls functions.
  • Students will assist project teams based on project requirements, have a chance to develop stakeholder and project management skills and work with diverse teams of professionals.

What You Will Do:


  • Support the delivery of major projects across various project phases such as planning, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Provide status and progress reports for the project coordinator and project manager in the management of inflight projects
  • Coordinate meetings, requests and support the management of relationships with various internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the ongoing monitoring of project schedules, risk, compliance, claims, and scope changes.

Who We're Looking For:


  • Required Skills/Experience:
  • Enrolled in their 3rd or 4th (Final) year of their Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration (MBA included), or any related program
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including presentation, consultation, and consensus building experience
  • Effective organizational and prioritization skills with high attention to detail and the ability to synthesize information
  • Manage multiple tasks and the ability to work in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with project management, budgeting, and scheduling, interpretation of technical/construction project documentation (I.e., contracts, drawings) is considered an asset
