Global Fusion Coating Inc.is recruiting Pipeline Coordinators, Blasters and Coating applicators with the right balance of knowledge and experience in Field Blasting and Coating operations.
This is a full-time employee position, that works at various job sites throughout Western Canada.Summary of Essential Job Functions
Coordinator/Supervisor
- Support the maintenance and ongoing improvement of the quality management system in alignment with ISO 9001:2015 (quality plans, monitor equipment calibrations, recording NCRs, etc.)
- Coordinate projects within time and budget constraints satisfying customer and company objectives
- Have a clear understanding of project scope
- Logistical coordination for all aspects (material, equipment, and contractors) of projects
- Develop and track project costs, review and compare to budget.
- Review daily LEMS submitted from field staff (proper wording, amount of sand, paint used, etc.)
- Produce and distribute status updated and forecasts to General Manager
- Coordinate vehicle/equipment maintenance schedule
- Lessons learned reporting on larger projects to be communicated with team
- Clear communication with Safety
Sandblaster:
- Knowledge to execute specific surface prep requirements as well as troubleshoot and maintain blasting equipment
- Sandblasting experience required and Bristle Blasting experience an asset
- Perform tasks with a special focus on safety of themselves and others in their work area
- Always maintain a clean and tidy work area
- Ability to follow complex instruction and attention to detail are required
Coaters:
- Applies Urethanes & 100% Solid Epoxies to specifications
- Ability to run a plural component pump an asset
- Brush and roll coatings to specified thickness
- Experience with HV and LV holiday testing
- Trouble Shoot and Maintain Pumps (Airless, Plural Component etc.) as well as HVLP guns and pressure pots
Minimum Requirements
- Self motivated and able to work with mínimal supervision.
- Willing to learn and take direction
- Safety & Team Orientated
- Ability to travel for work
- Highly organized, able to prioritize project requirements / schedules provided by others
Qualifications
- 2+ years sandblasting or coating in an industrial setting
- 2+ years experience project coordination and management in the pipeline industry
- Punctual, Engaged & Fit for Duty
- Must pass preemployment drug and alcohol testing
- Good communication skills
- CIP Level 1 (NACE or equivalent) would be an advantage
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 would be an advantage
- Good communication skills
- Strong organization and problemsolving skills.
- Valid Driver's License
- Safety Tickets (H2S, Confined Space, Fall Protection) (preferred)
Experience:
- Sandblasting: 1 year (preferred)
- Coordinator/Supervisor: 3 years (preferred)
