Description

Nature of the work:

  • The principal and customary work of the employee in this employment class consists in performing administrative functions according to methods and procedures of a relatively complex nature

Responsibilities:


  • Scheduling
  • Participates in the scheduling of Pre-University and Technical programs and responds to inquiries
  • Participates in collection, analysis, entering, updating and verifying of scheduling data of Pre
  • University and Technical programs, Continuing Education and Summer Courses
  • Provides support to academic planners and chairpersons regarding data entry
  • Participates and processes classroom change requests and classroom bookings
  • Respects all norms, policies and procedures related to the position and the work being carried out
  • Performs other related duties as required
Registration- Participates in course allocation for Pre-University programs and Special Areas of Study

  • Supports course allocation for Technical programs
  • Participates in Summer course allocation and inperson registration
  • Participates in Science and ALC course assignments
  • Participates in all aspects of the Essential Course Change process
  • Collaborates in organizing, settingup and takingdown installations related to specific events
  • Communicates and offers support to student clientele concerning course allocation issues
  • Provides support to program/profile coordinators and chairpersons during course allocation
  • Performs other related duties as required

Requirements:


  • Qualifications:
  • To have a diploma of vocational studies (DEP) with appropriate specialty or a secondary school diploma (DES) or have a diploma or an attestation of studies which is recognized as equivalent by the competent authority and have at least one (1) year of pertinent
- experience.

  • Conditions:
  • Excellent multi-tasking, problem-solving skills and ability to handle high volume of
activity within strict deadlines- Excellent organizational and time management skills with excellent attention to detail

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Advanced oral and written English communication skills (testing may be required)
  • Intermediate oral and written French communications skills (testing may be required)
  • Intermediate level Word and Excel (testing may be required)
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
