Description
We are looking to hire a dynamic individual to bridge the gap between the functional teams and Product teams.

You will be intimately involved in all stages of the project development life cycle, responsible for driving the decomposition of product requirements into design requirements.

You will work closely with the functional teams to ensure full traceability from requirements through design to verification and validation,


Our teams are full of brilliant engineers and developers who you could help organize and drive towards realizing a new generation of autonomy in robotics.

Here's where you can contribute to our team by:


  • Working with the functional teams to ensure product specifications and project deliverables are properly documented and kept up to date so we efficiently deliver the best.
  • Managing Electrical, and Software system requirements from product inception through execution ensuring our product is exactly what the customer needs while maintaining the highest level of high tech and high quality robots.
  • Help resolve the various tradeoffs required throughout development between the functional groups to make sure all our stories align and quality is maintained
  • Help maintain our risk assessment throughout the projects, understanding when a risk has been realized or can be retired and how it contributes to the safety of our robots, and the public who interact with them.
  • Drive the technical side of development projects to completion both through team coordination and handson tasks

Requirements:


  • Bachelors in electrical, or computer, or mechatronics engineering or similar.
  • Minimum 5+ years of hardware design experience in relevant field (Robotics, Aerospace, Automotive, etc)
  • 23 years of systems requirements management, and systems integration. Ideally in a regulated or standards driven industry.
  • A driven individual who is passionate about robotics, with strong leadership skills, able to motivate teams
  • Experience with the various tools used for requirements management
  • Understand the tradeoffs required between electrical, mechanical and software disciplines
  • Knowledge of Dfx Analysis including a strong emphasis on DFMEA methodologies
  • Familiar with working with Service and Sustaining teams to incorporating their input into any design
  • Successfully complete preemployment onboarding requirements that may include: criminal/civil background checks and motor vehicle records search

Nice to have:


  • Good understanding of robots and kinematics
  • Experience working with robots or other complex electromechanical systems
  • Understanding of functional safety requirements
