Job Summary

Responsibilities

Preform daily pretrip and safety inspections on equipment.
Load and unload freight as required.
Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain records.
Work in adverse weather conditions.
Pack, label and tag al of the inventory in the warehouse as required.
Work in accord with all safety regulations of the environment.
Coordinate work with fellow workers and other team members.
Daily process and assembly of customer's orders.
Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

Class 3 license required, class 1 Driver's License preferred
Demonstrated truck driving experience with straight trucks and tractortrailers.
Demonstrated ability to maintain good attendance
Ability to travel for extended periods of time
Ability to provide internal and external customer service
Ability to work independently and with other employees, including management, office, warehouse, and sales personnel.
Knowledge of the roadways and surrounding areas in Halifax Regional Municipality.
Bulk distribution considered an asset.

Working Conditions
Must be comfortable driving moderate to long distances without issue. Working with and around industrial requirement will be common practice with this position.

Physical Requirements
Must be physically able to operate heavy machinery for extended periods of time. Prolonged periods of attentiveness will be necessary when driving. Moderate lifting will be common.
