The Role:
Job Duties:
- Manage daily kitchen operations and lead the backofhouse staff
- Ensure the kitchen meets all sanitation and safety requirements
- Track inventory and order food and supplies
- Establish portion sizes and recipes
- Monitor food production and quality, ensuring timely delivery to maximize guest experience
- Train, coach and supervise kitchen staff
- Monitor and manage labour costs
- Manage food handling and waste, ensuring standards are being met at all times
- Ensure costeffective operations
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as Kitchen Manager in a fastpaced restaurant environment
- Working knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures to lead the backofhouse team
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to build team moral during stressful shifts
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
- Experience in communicating and delivering messages to the team, both positive and constructive
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Location:
Oakville, Ontario
Salary:
$55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
