As a part of our dynamic team, you'll champion our brand's voice across Linus Tech Tips, ShortCircuit, TechQuickie, and more.

You'll also demonstrate your creativity and editing expertise by employing techniques such as color grading, lighting adjustments, and other methods to deliver high-quality content to our audience.

As a Video Editor, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Duties:

Creating engaging content for our audience by utilizing raw footage with video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro and Audition.
Performing color correction, grading, and audio enhancement during the editing process.
Managing multiple video projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines while upholding quality standards.
Collaborating with writers and stakeholders to ensure video content aligns with each channel's style and narrative.
Incorporating graphics, animations, and other elements to enhance visual appeal while maintaining the company's identity.

Requirements:

A portfolio highlighting your best work.
An advanced understanding of Premiere Pro, including the ability to assemble and edit scripted and unscripted content in Rec. 709 and Rec PQ) color spaces, along with colour grading and correction with Lumetri Colour.
An advanced understanding of After Effects, including creating 2D motion graphics, compositing, motion/camera tracking, and chroma keying.
An intermediate understanding of Photoshop for image/photo editing and graphic creation.
An intermediate understanding of Audition, including noise reduction and audio repair, mixing, and mastering.
Strong problemsolving, organization, and communication skills.
Proactive "cando" attitude and willingness to turn feedback into meaningful change.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others.

Compensation:

For this position the typical hiring salary range falls between CAD
$64,000 and
$80,000 per year.

The base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job related qualifications such as knowledge, skills and experience.

LMG's compensation structure is rooted in a performance and merit based approach that acknowledges performance of both the individual and the team.
