Job Overview:


  • Join our dynamic and passionate Human Resources team as a Talent Acquisition Specialist, where you'll play a crucial role in supporting recruitment and creating exceptional employee experiences. As an integral member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to take ownership of recruitment best practices and make a real impact through your work.

Working alongside a knowledgeable and supportive HR/Payroll team of six, you'll have the chance to grow your career in a values-driven environment.

We value your existing recruitment experience, and we'll provide extensive training to help you develop new skills and broaden your expertise in different areas of HR and recruitment.

In this role, you'll enjoy a hybrid work arrangement, allowing you to work both remotely and attend our physical office at 200 Granville Street for training and probationary period.


Responsibilities

  • After completing a needs assessment with the hiring manager, post roles in the Applicant Tracking System, and other various platforms such as Indeed, Craigslist, LinkedIn, and other job boards as applicable
  • Supporting HR Administration such as Strata Manager licensing, visa and immigration status, company events
  • Responsible for developing and communicating employer brand by developing content, responding to reviews; attending job fairs and other public functions

Skills and Qualifications:


  • Prior experience in a high volume fullcycle recruiting position covering a combination of hourly and salaried roles, or an equivalent combination of recruitment and administrative experience.
  • Completion of postsecondary education in administration or human resources
  • Excellent team player with solid recruitment knowledge, strong administration skills and business acumen
  • Proactive, with a continuous improvement mindset. Is highly organized, with a high attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills (verbal and written) that align with the values and commitment of FirstService Residential
  • Proven ability to meet challenging deadlines in a dynamic business environment. Comfortable balancing incoming enquiries with ongoing objectives
  • Technology and social media savvy, with prior experience using Applicant Tracking Systems.
