Overview:


The main objective of this position is to ensure that transport by truck and rail car is carried out in accordance with the laws and procedures in force and that the material received and / or shipped is properly counted in the site's inventories.


Responsibilities:


Safety:


  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments/areas and with employees, contractors and site visitors.
  • Maintenance and monitoring of PPE inventories for site employees.
  • Application and control of company health and safety rules with carriers.

Management of raw material carriers:


  • Answering and transferring calls.
  • Assignment of truckers to the correct loading silo according to the type of cement desired by the client and preparation of the loading ticket using procedures and the SAP system.
  • Management of railway activities according to the procedures in place (CN).

Inventory management:


  • Release and adjustment of inventories of finished products during transfers between plants with the SAP system.
  • Daily update of the inventory of all products produced, stored, received and shipped, in SAP and in Excel spreadsheets.
  • Management of inventory reports for finished products (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly).
  • Management of inventory reports for raw materials (weekly, monthly, yearly).
  • Production of shipment reports for products shipped to other sites (silica smoke, petroleum coke, slag, etc.).

Administrative management:


  • Preparation of bills of lading for sending mail, product samples and other goods.
  • Preparation of raw materials receipt documents and routing to the accounting department.
  • Help and support the administrative, accounting and payroll specialist with administrative tasks such as: own employee and subcontractor working hours follow up, plant materials and spare parts reception in SAP, Supplier invoices administration in SAP, classification of files etc.

Relationship with others:


  • The incumbent will work in close collaboration with the various carriers.
  • Constantly communicates with the site manager in terms of PPE needs and declares any noncompliance with our safety policies and procedures noted with truckers or terminal employees.
  • Assist the plant administrator as needed.

Specific Accountabilities:


  • The reliability of data entry in computer systems.
  • Production of different reports on time.
  • Flexibility and easy adaptation to change of work schedule as needed

Dimensions:


  • Handle and send samples (2.5 gal or 15 kilos and 5 gal or 30 kilos) to the concerned people (customers, lab, etc.) from 0 to 5 times a day.
  • Store samples of 7 kg each in the basement (between 0 and 20 per day), then dispose of old samples of 7 kg each (between 0 and 30 per day).
  • Prepare monthly product sampling (5 gal or 30 kg) for St-Constant and others.

Qualifications:

  • Secondary 5 diploma with more than 5 years of relevant experience or a DEP in administration with more than 2 years of experience Knowledge of Microsoft Office (word, Excel, etc.)
  • Bilingualism in French and intermediate English.
