Job Description:

The Project Manager is responsible for leading large and complex projects, working with different business units and cross-functional teams, project team members and external parties to ensure projects are well-defined, planned and delivered.


Responsibilities

  • Identify and liaise with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts to understand and communicate and manage all requirements to ensure they are met
  • Deliver projects respecting time, scope, cost and quality requirements via standard project management methodology
  • Develop project documentation including project charters, plans, schedules, project updates, etc.
  • Oversee development and delivery of functionality to ensure solutions are in line with organizational strategy, meet functional and nonfunctional requirements, and are within agreed levels of quality and risk tolerance of the organization
  • Define responsibilities of stakeholders involved in the project
  • Track project progress to proactively identify and communicate project status, issues and risks to stakeholders
  • Identify project risks and issues by actively soliciting information from team members and stakeholders, listening to their responses and implementing a risk management plan
  • Carry out change management and control throughout the life of the project.

Qualifications:


  • 8+ years as a Project Manager in a Technology delivery environment
  • Degree in related discipline (Computer Science, Commerce, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, etc.) or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, particularly critical thinking, with a strong attention to detail
  • A focus on understanding the desired business outcomes and delivering to meet those outcomes
  • Clientcentric approach to problem solving with the ability to collaborate, resolve conflicts, and reach consensus with others
  • Comfortable working in a fastpaced, dynamic environment and operating under levels of uncertainty
  • Keen negotiation skills and the ability to facilitate discussions, prioritization and decisionmaking across multiple business areas and multiple technology teams to achieve project objectives
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to influence and negotiate winwin outcomes among crossfunctional teams
  • Ability to grasp concepts quickly and to work independently with mínimal direction.

Assets

  • Accreditation in Project Management such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent credentials
  • Experience in both waterfall and agile methodologies
