Position:
Part-Time Accounting Clerk (Temporary - Maternity Leave Placement)


Vesta Marble and Granite is seeking a Part-Time Accounting Clerk (Temporary - Maternity Leave Placement), who will support both the full accounts payable cycle as well as accounts receivable by recording customer deposits and payments as they are received while striving to continuously improve procedures and processes.

This role will also support the Controller with the analysis of key accounts, metrics and reporting.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Processing all vendor and supplier invoices for payment
  • Record expenses to appropriate accounts and departments
  • Record credit card transactions and verify expense reports
  • Review purchase order completions, goods receipts and paying vendors/suppliers as appropriate (3way match)
  • Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Complete Digital and Physical Filing
  • Prepare journal entries
  • Print and mail all cheques.
  • Record customer deposits and payments
  • Perform other duties as required
  • A detailoriented selfstarter with prior experience in the construction industry and/or family
- owned business

  • A team player capable of cultivating productive working relationships across the organization
  • Resourceful, cando attitude

Skillset and background:


  • Postsecondary education, with a focus in Finance, Accounting or Businessrelated field
  • 2 years of experience in a similar field, preferred
  • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective time management skills and demonstrated ability to meet required deadlines
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fastpaced environment

Job Type:
Part-time

Part-time hours: 24 per week


Salary:
$17.00-$25.00 per hour
