We are currently seeking an energetic and motivated professional to fill the position of Procurement Specialist for our Mining group.

Responsibilities includes:


  • Closely monitor customer product demand and proactively adjust inventory and procurement levels as needed
  • Close communication with our sales team and our product managers
  • Placing replenishment orders with suppliers
  • Inventory control and monitoring
  • Run and analyze several systems generated reports
  • Help and make informed inventory and purchasing decisions
  • Data entry in different platforms (Oracle / JD Edwards, Excel, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Cross reference quality documents on incoming material to support our quality program
  • Assist the product managers to analyze the sales and market trends
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with our worldwide suppliers
  • Manage and support a variety of projects
What are the needed qualifications to have success in this role?:

  • University degree or post-secondary education in Business, Commerce, Science or any related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the purchase of chemicals
  • Knowledge of procurement principles and processes
  • Strong analytical skills to be capable of analyzing data, market trends and supplier performance in order to make informed decision
  • Excellent spoken and written communication in French and English
  • Advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce) and experience working with SAP or JD Edwards
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate, understand requirements and influence decisions
  • Must be detail oriented and capable to work on a team with multiple deadlines
  • Remarkable ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting, effortlessly managing multiple deadlines with finesse and agility
  • Possess a growth mindset, being selfmotivated and solutionsoriented attitude
