**Position Summary: The Vermont Castings (VC)/MASTER Chef (MC) brand team are the brand stewards for the portfolio, setting the long and short-term strategic plans and roadmap for the business, spearheading key growth initiatives (new product innovation, customer, channels, etc.), managing brand performance, and executing key brand initiatives (innovation, content, packaging design, in-store activations, etc.) with excellence.

The primary focus of this role will be on the Vermont Castings portfolio.

With the brand sitting in the earlier part of the life stage cycle, Vermont Castings' mandate is to:


  • Grow awareness of the best level BBQ brand
  • Increase consideration to become a formidable player in the Backyard Living segment
  • Develop a pipeline of innovation to support the sales growth targets and stay relevant and top of mind with consumers


The Marketing Brand Coordinator Student for this team will help support key initiatives across the brand, specifically gaining exposure and experience in brand management, business and consumer analytics and insights, product development support, and packaging execution.

The Marketing Brand Coordinator Student will work with a wide variety of cross-functional teams, including (but not limited to) Merchandising, Packaging, Product Development, Quality Engineering, Financial Planning & Analysis, Insights, Strategic Marketing, Loyalty, Vendors, and Agencies.


What you'll do:


  • Assortment Mapping (analysis, research, building an assortment/product recommendation, presentation of recommendations)
  • Assess, Recommend, and Implement content enhancement requirements for the Vermont Castings on the brand's website
  • Research of trends and key competitor information
  • Support the build and presentation of the monthly Integrated Business Review to internal teams
  • Assist in the more detailed work related to developing packaging design and consumerfacing communication
  • Support the design, vendor sourcing, and project management for the Vermont Castings and MASTER Chef booths at the annual Canadian Tire convention
  • Supporting ongoing projects as required

What you've done:


  • Currently enrolled in a postsecondary program in Business, Marketing, or a
  • Some prior work experience preferred, specifically in a corporate setting, an asset
  • Prior exposure to brand or business management a definite plus
  • Retail store experience is an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and
