Furthermore, Deer Creek Golf & Banquet Facility is the only facility in all of Ontario to host full-service golf tournaments for up to 400 players.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Director of Sales & Events of Deer Creek Golf and Banquet Facility, the Events Assistant is a seasonal part-time position that will assist the Events Team in providing our clients and guests with an exceptional event experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Primary responsibility will include assisting the Venue Coordinators with day of event execution.
- Liaise with vendors during preevent setup.
- Ensure each event space is accurately setup and make any necessary adjustments.
- Ensure all events spaces and public areas are presentable prior to event.
- Responsible for final checks of hospitality suites for cleanliness before client arrival
- Support the Venue Coordinator with the execution of onsite wedding ceremonies
- Accommodate all special requests in a suitable manner if possible.
- Meet or exceed expectations outlined in the Policies and Procedures Manual.
- Produce professional and accurate internal and external communications at all times.
- Always maintain a professional appearance when working.
- Other duties as requested by Deer Creek Management
Requirements:
- Educational background in the hospitality or event planning industry an asset
- Proven customer service skills
- Flexibility with scheduling and availability. Must be available to work on weekends.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
- Works well under pressure in a fastpaced environment
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective problemsolving abilities.
