TheKey formerly Home Care Assistance is looking for caring and compassionate individuals to become a part of our team and join our mission of Changing the Way the World Ages.





AVAILABILITY:
20-40 hrs per week (MON to FRI) and alternate weekends


PSWs in
Toronto region whose main responsibilities will contribute to managing activities of daily living (ADLs) and maintain the autonomy of clients.

Applicants of interest will work primarily with the elderly in autonomous, semi-autonomous and total care conditions.


Main responsibilities:


  • Able to communicate in Mandarin.
  • Communicating directly with our care management team and nurse at the head office.
  • Providing basic care relating to clients' ADLs and IADL's
  • Assistance with bathing, toileting, and dressing
  • Assisting with walking, exercise, and mobility
  • Giving status updates and feedback to the family
  • Medication reminders

Requirements and working conditions:
Valid First Aid / CPR certification**- Good knowledge (spoken and written) in English and Mandarin

  • Dynamic, punctual, reliable, optimistic, courteous and proactive
  • Must have passion and experience caring for the elderly
  • Clear Criminal Reference Check
  • Proof of eligibility to work in Canada
  • Minimum 2 professional references

Working conditions:
Position: Mon-Fri ; Status: Part time

Salary:
$18.50-$22.00/hr per hour
