Health Sciences North (HSN) is seeking an innovative leader for the position of Coordinator, Rehabilitation Business Development.
In this role, you will oversee the efficient operation of the revenue-generating Outpatient Rehabilitation Services (Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) Speciality Clinics, Forward to Function, Prosthetics and Orthotics).
This program consists of a multidisciplinary team of rehabilitation professionals who are dedicated to the provision of evidence-based rehabilitation, working to ensure maximum independence for those challenged by / recovering from illness or injury.
The successful incumbent will have the opportunity to engage in continuous process improvement strategies and provide leadership and direction through planning and organizing the day-to-day operations, promoting the delivery of optimal care/service to patients through management of human and material resources.

KEY FUNCTION:
Oversee the efficient operation of the revenue-generating outpatient rehabilitation services (Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) Speciality Clinics, Forward to Function, Prosthetics and Orthotics) by engaging in continuous process improvement strategies and providing leadership and direction through planning and organizing of the day-to-day operations, promoting the delivery of optimal care/service to patients through management of human and material resources.
REPORTING:
Under the general direction of the Clinical Manager, Outpatient Rehabilitation Programs.
DUTIES:
- Design, promote, and facilitate the use of program systems to ensure that revenue streams are strengthened / expanded to ensure optimal service delivery, viability and growth.
- Ensure the provision of patient care is consistent with program and professional standards and the requirements of regulatory bodies.
- Develop, revise, and assess the goals and objectives for the department in conjunction with the Clinical Manager.
- Identify and respond to problems and deficiencies in the delivery of optimal service delivery and facilitate an interdisciplinary approach to the formulation of solutions.
- Prepare, monitor, modify, and adjust work schedules and staff assignments to ensure deliverables are met.
- Plan the development needs for the department and facilitate the appropriate training, communication and evaluation plans.
