Health Sciences North (HSN) is seeking an innovative leader for the position of Coordinator, Rehabilitation Business Development.

In this role, you will oversee the efficient operation of the revenue-generating Outpatient Rehabilitation Services (Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) Speciality Clinics, Forward to Function, Prosthetics and Orthotics).

This program consists of a multidisciplinary team of rehabilitation professionals who are dedicated to the provision of evidence-based rehabilitation, working to ensure maximum independence for those challenged by / recovering from illness or injury.


The successful incumbent will have the opportunity to engage in continuous process improvement strategies and provide leadership and direction through planning and organizing the day-to-day operations, promoting the delivery of optimal care/service to patients through management of human and material resources.

KEY FUNCTION:

REPORTING:

Under the general direction of the Clinical Manager, Outpatient Rehabilitation Programs.


DUTIES:


  • Design, promote, and facilitate the use of program systems to ensure that revenue streams are strengthened / expanded to ensure optimal service delivery, viability and growth.
  • Ensure the provision of patient care is consistent with program and professional standards and the requirements of regulatory bodies.
  • Develop, revise, and assess the goals and objectives for the department in conjunction with the Clinical Manager.
  • Identify and respond to problems and deficiencies in the delivery of optimal service delivery and facilitate an interdisciplinary approach to the formulation of solutions.
  • Prepare, monitor, modify, and adjust work schedules and staff assignments to ensure deliverables are met.
  • Plan the development needs for the department and facilitate the appropriate training, communication and evaluation plans.
