FUNCTION / PROPERTY DESCRIPTION
Complete all functions related to front desk/reservations and other tasks as asked by the department.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Offer support and assistance to the Front Office Manager with:
Manage reservations, rooms and booking system to maximize revenue.

  • Development of schedules, control of absences and holidays.
  • Assist the Reception Manager with recruitment, training and followup of new employees.
  • Supervise and review all customer service representative work to ensure that all work is done well;
  • Thorough knowledge of all hotel facilities, special promotions and all profit centers such as restaurants to promote them to our customers and answer GSR questions;
  • Execution of the departmental budget.
  • Act as duty director during the shift: act and take initiatives in incidents in other departments, respond to guest requests or complaints;
  • In the absence of the Reception Manager, take all necessary initiatives to ensure prompt, courteous and professional service at all times.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Academic training or relevant hotel experience

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in personnel supervision
  • Excellent sense of organization and initiative
  • Available for variable hours (Day, evening, night, weekend)
  • Knowledge of the OnQ system an asset
  • Excellent knowledge of Word and Excel programs
  • Excellent interpersonal communication
  • Bilingualism written and spoken mandatory (English and French)
  • Hilton experience is a plus.
