Position Purpose


Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, ensures implementation and smooth running of HR-related administrative activities, in compliance with University collective agreements and policies covering hiring processes, leave management, labour relations, performance management and professional development.

Manages support staff and professors' files.


In this role, your responsibilities will include:

Ensures coordination and proper implementation of hiring processes, including posting, selection, interviews, development of questionnaires, reference checking and integration of new recruits.

Monitors onboarding and orientation of new support staff (mandatory training and faculty information sessions).


Helps develop, review and update procedures in own sections of activity (orientation, integration, professional training), to make them more effective and efficient.


Serves as a resource person for Faculty supervisors and support staff regarding administration of HR processes involving benefits, leave and performance evaluation, as well as related University processes.


What you will bring:

College diploma with specialization in administration or HR, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Three (3) years' experience in HR or in a staff management position.

Experience working in an environment where confidential information must be managed.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work with mínimal supervision in a team environment, under pressure and with firm deadlines.

Bilingualism — French and English (spoken and written).
