AS A PROFESSIONAL TOOL SALES SPECIALIST, YOU WILL:

  • Responsible for directly promoting the entire RIDGID/Greenlee product line to end-users in the Electrical, Mechanical, Utility, Plumbing, and Industrial segments at the local level.
  • Works closely and develops relationships at all levels of the customer chain: Electricians, plumbers, linemen, foreman, superintendents, safety directors, work methods managers, purchasing agents, warehouse managers, project managers and owners.
  • Capable of engaging with local union and nonunion training centers to conduct training to apprenticeship and journeymen. Responds to requests quickly and understands the sense of urgency in construction.
  • Ability to communicate and demonstrate our value proposition of Faster-SaferEasier that our tools bring to all members of the decisionmaking chain listed above.
  • Works with Product Managers on leads generated from large regional, national, and global construction and utility firms and implements the placement of our tools at the local level.
  • Working closely with PTS Leads to support multiple territories and channels within the defined area and will follow up on prequalified leads that are generated from RIDGID/Greenlee Territory Managers, Regional Sales Managers, Product Managers, and Distributor Sales, along with customer requests.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the success of the team by encouraging relationships with other RIDGID/Greenlee team members, enduser customers as well as distribution partners. Communicate leads to the sales team, along with conveying competitive threats and market trends.
  • The ability to understand the needs and challenges of our end user customers and articulate a solution to the need.

Requirements:


  • A postsecondary Diploma/Degree
  • Strong experience in
    tools sales and building relationships at wholesale channels and with end users
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to synthesize large amounts of information into a clear and concise summary.
  • Good organizational skills and as well as strong analytical, problem solving & influencing skills. Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook; CRM Application experience a plus.
  • Able to work in Canada without sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing or other Pipe Trades.
  • Experience with distribution channels, with emphasis on industrial, plumbing, & electrical channels.
  • A proven track record and successful history of achieving goals and sales targets.
  • Strong time & territory management skills.
