Proudly serving a community of approximately 50,000 students in the City of Hamilton and surrounding area, HWDSB operates across 84 elementary schools, 13 secondary schools and 1 Adult Learning Centre, in addition to providing support and service to approximately 8,800 staff members.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Ministry Requirements as outlined in The Education Act
Part 1 (or above) in Teaching English Language Learners
KEY COMPETENCIES:
Strong understanding of digital skills and 21st Century Learning/Global Competencies
Demonstrated Culturally Responsive Teaching in order to understand and respond to student voice and lived experiences at Westdale
A demonstrated focus on student achievement and well-being as evidenced through equity, diversity, and inclusion in education in the classroom/school
Demonstrated use of technology to support student learning
Demonstrated knowledge and implementation of the principles of Growing Success
