Accounting Clerk


ROLE SUMMARY:
We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our growing organization. As a small, private biotech company, we are keen
to hear from Finance professionals looking to stretch themselves by becoming a key part of our Finance Team. Because
or Home-based or hybrid, Vancouver-based or remote. The Accounting Clerk will report to the Senior Manager
of Finance and will be responsible for the overall accounts payable cycle for Acuitas as well as some accounts receivable
tasks. To succeed, you must enjoy working independently while also contributing to our collaborative culture and fun
work environment, seeking proactive ways to help us improve. There will be lots of opportunity for growth.


JOB DESCRIPTION:
The tasks below are examples of the types of activities this role will be accountable for:
Accounts payable tasks


  • Completing payments to vendors by verifying and reconciling vendor bills. Verifying invoices against purchase
orders to ensure goods or services were received prior to issuing payment

  • Performing invoice and general-ledger data entry
  • Performing monthly credit card reconciliations.
  • Processing and validating employee expense reports
  • Maintaining precise records of all vendor invoices and payments. Maintaining historical records of all invoices,
reports, receipts, and cheques by saving documents properly on the network


  • Generating purchase orders when necessary
  • Creating new vendor accounts
  • Investigating discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and vendor statements
Accounts receivable tasks


  • Reconciling all fees, including employee hours and additional services, for billing purposes
  • Generating customer invoice support for the Business Manager on a monthly basis
3, Regularly reviewing customer accounts receivable and following up on late outstanding balances


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
1. 3+ years' experience with accounts payable and general accounting

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel
  • Experience with accounting software; experience with QB Enterprise an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
5, Excellent knowledge of basic accounting concepts
