Description

The Maintenance Person is responsible for general maintenance, bin repair and more.

The General Labourer must display a focus on safety and efficiency in a team environment while performing moderately labour intensive and repetitious tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Painting and general repair work to all commercial containers based out of the site
Prepare front end bins for customer placement
Operate a forklift and welding experience
Ensure safe operation and procedures are followed at all times
Complete paperwork properly & ensure it is submitted

Must be ready to prioritize and adjust assignments accordingly to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner and minimize potential downtime.

Perform system maintenance as per priority sequence and conduct emergency repairs when required.
Complete job hazard risk assessments
Promote a safety culture with all employees
Ensure superior customer service is provided
General shop cleans up and maintenance
Other miscellaneous tasks as required

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:

Ability to perform moderately labour intensive and repetitious tasks
Previous experience with painting
Physically fit with the ability to lift +50lbs and stand on cement for extended periods of time
Excellent communication skills
Forklift experience required
Planning and organizational skills
Ability to analyze and solve problems
Able to work independently and in a team environment
