Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Assisting in running, analysing, calibrating, and modifying hydraulic wastewater and hydraulic water distribution system models.
  • Collaborating with senior team members to develop innovative solutions that meet design criteria.
  • Assisting in the preparation of modelling documentation, technical memoranda, and design reports.
  • Supporting Infrastructure Planning Studies, such as Master Plans, Basement Flooding, and Inflow and Infiltration Studies.
  • Receiving training and mentorship from experienced professionals in water/wastewater modelling and methods.
  • Assisting senior staff in maintaining client relationships
  • Supporting the preparation of proposals, report writing, cost estimation, and drawing preparation.
  • Collaborating with Service Line Leaders and Project Managers both within and outside the region to contribute to work sharing and business development efforts.

What you will bring to the team:

  • A degree in Civil/Water Resource Engineering.
  • A strong foundation in hydraulic/hydrologic principles and tools.
  • Good information retrieval and information summary skills.
  • Selfmotivated and able to manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team player, cooperate with other staff.
  • Familiarity with industrystandard hydraulic/hydrologic software, such as WaterCAD/WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, InfoWorks WSPRO / ICM (1D and 2D), InfoSWMM, InfoWater, and WaterGems.
  • Knowledge of data analytical techniques, machine learning tools and dashboarding is desirable.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of Smart Water Network Design
  • A valid driver's license in Ontario and willingness to travel within Ontario and Canada as required.
