Job Profile
The Service Technician performs mechanical and electrical service work on electric vehicles. They conduct assessments and repairs to vehicles on-site. They perform field repairs as necessary.
The Service Technician will be able to take information from engineering, sales and the customer to repair EVs to the customers' satisfaction.
Hours will be 7 days on and 7 days off 10 hour shifts.Primary Responsibilities
- Understand the detailed mechanical and electrical workings of all Prairie Machine products
- Assess malfunctioning mechanical/electrical modules and determine the cause of the failure
- Perform quality repairs with a keen attention to detail
- Accurately communicate with the customer and our own engineers to ensure information is shared with all parties
- Provide input/feedback to the Prairie Machine design team as it pertains to the serviceability and longevity of products
- Produce timely and detailed service reports
- Accurately submit WDL's and time sheets
- Ontario Warehouse Responsibilities:
- Ship and receive stock items while ensuring identification, size, quantity and quality are all accurate
- Completion of all necessary paperwork and computer transactions involved with the picking, shipping or receiving of products
- Ensure correct inventory counts and restocking of material

- Follow prescribed safety standards, rules and regulations
- Participate in safety culture; lead by example
- Identify nonconformities and participate in their resolution
- Recommend improvements and develop improvement plans in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions
- Maintain a wellorganized and clean facility as per Prairie Machine vision
- Maintain all equipment and tools per recommended procedures
- Maintain a healthy work environment
Qualifications
- Completion of Grade 12 or GED; automotive trade is preferred
- 12 years of field service experience
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
- Experience with MS Office, basic programming knowledge
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence
