Shop Hand


In this entry level position, you will assist other shop personnel and Project Managers with a variety of tasks, while learning the basics of maintenance on Ketek equipment, including how to operate various hand tools.

The Shop Hand is expected to be adaptable, eager to learn, and have basic mechanical aptitude.


Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receive, understand and execute instructions from Shop Foreman and senior employees.
  • Clean equipment and tools using highpower pressure washer.
  • Disassemble equipment, if needed, to thoroughly clean.
  • Identify faulty/damaged equipment and/or defective materials and inform supervisor of problem.
  • Utilize checklists, inspections, work procedures and safety guidelines to complete tasks
  • Complete assigned tasks in a safe, efficient and timely manner.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Fluent in the English language (reading, written, spoken)
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License
  • Experience working with basic hand tools

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Edmonton, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

Shop Hand: 1 year (preferred)
