Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, coach and lead staff operating and maintaining the water distribution and wastewater collection systems
Help develop new functions to improve operation and maintenance of infrastructure
Provide field coordination for emergency responses involving the Operations Division

Success in Year 1 will include:

Becoming familiar with our water distribution and wastewater collection systems
Building relationships and demonstrating strong leadership for a team of at least 10 included staff
Identifying immediate actions to improve upon areas of focus for the Operations Division

Success in Year 2 will include:

Developing and implementing enhanced employee training and development programs
Aligning resources to support water distribution and wastewater collection systems operation
Position the division for corporate performance measurement and reporting

Requirements include one year of post-secondary education related to the position and three years of related leadership experience, preferably in municipal operations, engineering, fleet, and / or asset management.

EOCP certification in water distribution or wastewater collection, and eligibility for certification from ASTTBC in civil engineering or public works is preferred.

Exposure to outdoor, rugged work environments in all weather conditions may be required. Valid BC Driver's license is required.
