Job Summary


The HR Project Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the Human Resources team by coordinating and managing various HR projects and initiatives.

This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with different stakeholders.


Section A - Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate and facilitate new employee onboarding sessions and workshops, including scheduling, venue arrangements, and materials preparation.
  • Performs project management administrative duties such as facilitating meetings, PowerPoint slide creation, meeting agendas, project notes, and tracking action items.
  • Providing support to Canadian HR Leadership Team by arranging travel, completing various expense reports, managing the chargebacks to the appropriate businesses, opening purchase orders, and organizing meetings.
  • Assist in the development of project plans, timelines, and objectives for HR initiatives.
  • Collaborate with HR colleagues to gather information, data, and insights necessary for project execution.
  • Collect and organize relevant data for project analysis and reporting.
  • Assist in preparing regular project status reports, outlining key metrics and achievements.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including personal information, attendance, and leave records.
  • Assist in preparing HRrelated documents, such as employment contracts, letters, and reports.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of plans, programs and initiatives that promote DEI within McKesson Canada in partnership with our impact teams in the US.
  • Attend and participate in key IDN meetings.
  • Lead communications around IDN events, meetings, and learnings to larger organization.
  • Support implementation of IDN goals and objectives for the year.

Section B - Position Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Previous experience in an HR administrative or coordinator role is preferred.
  • Professional understanding and/or exposure to DEI required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Basic understanding of HR policies, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a customerservice mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proven experience as a project coordinator or in a similar role, preferably within an HR environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate meaningful insights.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
