JOB OVERVIEW


Canadian Cancer Society's Corporate Partnerships team has the privilege of ensuring the flawless onboarding, management and execution of partnerships with select fortune 500 companies in Canada.

Partnering with top corporations who share Canadian Cancer Society's vision to champion world leading outcomes in cancer prevention, treatment and support through sponsorships, cause marketing and employee engagement is the focus of this revenue generating department.


WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:


1.Corporate Partnerships New Business Development Targets (60%)

  • Conducts regular cold calls to ensure a robust pipeline of corporate opportunities. Assesses and identifies key decision makers and influencers with the client organizations.
  • Manages a prospect pipeline within the organization's CRM system.
  • Manages and responds to corporate partnership inquiries.
  • Engages and develops a broad network of contacts, as well as maintains, and leverages existing networks.
  • Provide support to the prospecting efforts of the Senior Manager, New Business Development, Corporate Partnerships to conduct discovery calls, create pitches, secure presentations, coordination of calendars, contract creation and negotiation support etc.
  • Superior customer service skills including prompt and proactive communication with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Responsible for impeccable record keeping in organization's CRM system to enable successful relationship management including partner renewal strategies.

2.
Support Revenue and Relationship Management (20%)

  • Ensures a bestinclass transferring of new corporate partners to the CCS Relationship Manager for partnership onboarding and activation.
  • Works collaboratively with Relationship Managers and other internal stakeholders to help build new local, regional, and national corporate opportunities.

3.Contribute to a strong Corporate Partnerships and CCS team by positively contributing to CCS Values and Operations (20%)

  • Follows all guidelines established by national leadership including, Marketing, Communications, Digital Support, Finance, Team People, IT and others.
  • Foster a working environment that highlights the talents and strengths of each team member, acknowledging and celebrating successes.
  • Champion CCS as a hero in the face of cancer.
  • Actively contribute to our culture of justice, belonging, equity, diversity, and inclusion by ensuring that all staff feel represented and heard regardless of their gender, age, religion, ethnicity, and nationality or race.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Postsecondary education in a related field with a minimum two (2) years of demonstrated success in a marketing, business development and/or corporate fundraising role and/or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Demonstrated success in securing partnerships or gifts in excess of $20,000.
  • Experience with supporting the development and pitching of some or all types of corporate partnerships including cause marketing, sponsorship, employee engagement and giftinkind.
  • Strong presentation, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate persuasively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work simultaneously on a variety of complex projects with tight deadlines in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience using CRM systems
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce is considered an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail is required.
  • Ability to travel within Canada i.e., a valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to speak French is considered an asset.
  • Ability to occasionally work outside of regular office hours.
