Burnaby-based family is presently seeking an experienced live in Aupair to care for their two toddlers and help with housekeeping. Individual must be able to legally work 40 hours a week.
And have experience working with two young children.

Start Date:
Sept 1 2023
We are a professional couple seeking a full-time live in Nanny/Aupair for our two daughters 2 and 4. We are located in North Burnaby in a beautiful neighborhood surrounded by trails, parks and easy access to transit.

Responsibilities:

would include all aspects of toddler care and instruction as well as running occasional errands, dinner preparation, and household chores as necessary.

The successful applicant will be a hard worker, conscientious, very organized, very clean, have excellent attention to detail, experience with toddlers, and a positive and friendly disposition.

We try to live a very healthy lifestyle and are a very health conscious family. We have zero tolerance for smoking, vaping or drugs.

We have a Pet Free and Smoke free household. We have a brand new house and the Aupair will have her own private room and bathroom. We are looking for someone full time live in for 3-4 months until our permanent nanny gets her visa.

Must be able to work weekends, and work split shift get children ready for school in the morning, Clean then afternoon there is a break then tend to them afterschool until bed time.

Specific Skills:

Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home; prepare children for rest periods; tend to emotional well-being of children; supervise and care for children; prepare and serve nutritious meals; bathe, dress and feed children; instruct children in personal hygiene and social development; and organize, activities such as games and outings for children.

Additional Skills:
Perform housekeeping and cleaning duties; assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents; as needed, travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties; wash and fold

clothing and household linens, do dishes and put away dishes, sweep and vacuum, tidy and organize kids rooms. Driving and swimming are a huge asset.

Education:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience required. CPR, FIRST AID, And Preference given with nursing, ECE or care aid background

Experience:1 year of childcare or related experience is required.

Other Requirements:
Criminal record check required and reference. And vaccinations required (because you will be working with infants)
