ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ADMINISTRATOR

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the AP Administrator is
responsible for the following:

  • Preparation of invoice batches for data entry using multi-currency accounts, ensuring accuracy of GL expense account numbers and recording of harmonized sales tax
  • Preparation and entry of invoices for payment, management of the weekly cheque run and preparation of cheques for mailing to vendors
  • Processing and verification of employee expense accounts
  • Reconciliation of AP and AR subledgers
  • Monthly maintenance of company credit card accounts, reconciliation of invoices and creation of GL entries
  • Coordination with vendors regarding invoicing, payment inquiries and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner
  • Recording and analysis of monthly utility, equipment rental, leasing and insurance transactions in Excel
  • Assist with monthend and yearend closing
  • Other duties as assigned
  • 5 to 10 years Accounts Payable experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word and Access)
  • Experience working with an ERP such as Oracle or SAP would be an asset
  • TYPING SKILLS high volume of data
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational abilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks, to work independently or as part of a team
  • A strong willingness to work in a fastpaced, lean environment where adaptability, innovation and hard work are valued above all else
