Job Description

Reporting to the Credit Manager, the Credit Representative is responsible for credit/collections for a portfolio of clients across several branches across the region.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Make collection calls and follow up regularly to ensure prompt payment received by customers
Perform regular financial reviews to assess risk
Setting up new accounts in system
Temporarily suspend credit privileges as necessary
Complete comprehensive credit inquiries
Liaise with branch managers to update on receivables and ensure disputes get addressed in a timely manner
Develop and maintain teamwork both internally and externally
Other duties as assigned by the Credit Manager

REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position dealing with high volume business to business collections in a fastpaced environment
Degree in finance, accounting and administration or other relevant education is preferred
Must have experience reading and analyzing Equifax, Dun and Bradstreet reports for risk assessment/credit granting
Excellent working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook (MS Office)
Excellent Communication skills both spoken and written
Professional and courteous phone manner
Motivated and resultsoriented
Must be able work independently
Ability to resolve conflicts and make decisions in a timely manner
Credit experience in the construction industry is an asset
Must have exemplary multitasking and time management skills
