Key responsibilities include working as an ambassador of FortWhyte Alive through the orientation of visitors with programs, activities and events.

This individual will help operate the Nature Shop by providing information about products to visitors, maintaining stock and displays, as well as by processing all sales transactions.

This individual will have strong customer service, organizational and decision making skills. As well as having a demonstrated ability to problem-solve and to be adaptable. This job will require 35 hours per week with availability to be scheduled to work days, weekends and evenings.

What you will do...

Reception and Retail Services

Provide exceptional customer service and relationship building with customers, members and volunteers
Foster high quality visitor experiences with a thorough knowledge of FortWhyte Alive and its offerings
Assist guests with retail 'Nature Shop' sales utilizing a keen awareness of products

Leadership within a small team environment

A strong and confident communicator
The ability to work both independently and to guide other employees in a fast paced environment
Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Motivate other team members through ability to remain enthusiastic and engaged though whole shift

You will provide...

Demonstrated customer service, POS, data entry experience
Retail and/or tourism experience an asset
Working knowledge of Google Suite
Ability to lift up to 50lbs (or request accommodation) and stand for long periods
Private transportation to FortWhyte Alive. Bus service is not available
This job requires the individual to work around peanuts and nut products.
