Role description:


Responsibilities of the Research Assistant include but are not limited to:

  • Recruitment and scheduling of research participants
  • Conduct safety assessments when required
  • Administration and collection of research questionnaires
  • Monitor and maintain research logs, deadlines, and schedules with attention to detail
  • Troubleshoot and provide onsite technical assistance to any participant concerns with the online data collection system
  • Data collection/entry
  • Maintain regular and strong communication with research team, providers, clinicians, and referral pathways
  • Assist in the preparation of research reports and peerreview process
  • Prepare written correspondence, reports and presentations using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
  • Perform other general office related duties as required (e.g., faxing, photocopying, organizing and maintaining filing system)

Requirements:


  • Successful completion of a University degree in a releveant field, e.g., psychology
  • A minimum of one year of recent and related experience in or familiarity with a research environment in a mental health setting
  • Experience interacting with and recruiting patients in clinical or mental health settings; excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with REDCap an asset
  • Strong interpersonal skills and highlevels of responsiveness
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated verbal and written skills
  • Selfdirected with an ability to make decisions and to exercise good judgement
  • Superior organizational and time management skills with a flexibility to adjust to priorities
  • Demonstrated professionalism and ability to work with a variety of individuals in a cooperative manner both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work accurately and effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history
  • A recent Provincial Directive mandates all employees of public hospitals in Ontario to be either fully vaccinated for COVID19 or be regularly tested. All new employees joining Sinai Health must be fully vaccinated for COVID19 or have received at least one dose of a COVID19 vaccine and be on track toward full vaccination within six (6) weeks; participating in mandatory twice weekly Rapid Antigen Testing Program until fully vaccinated. There are very limited circumstances in which approval will be given for a medical exemption from receiving the COVID19 vaccine._
