  • The Field Superintendent has the primary responsibility to ensure contractors within their area are working in a safe manner and abiding by all safety program requirements
  • The Field Superintendent will review and/or develop detailed work plans according to the client's workforce planning processes.
  • In some instances, the Field Superintendent may perform supervision of direct field labour on mechanical/piping or electrical scopes of work ensuring the work is completed safely and to a highquality standard.
  • Oversee contractor activities confirming the work is completed safely and according to all contract requirements.
  • Inspect work to confirm it is completed to appropriate standards, identifying deficiencies and managing the completion of deficiencies.
  • Monitor the schedule and productivity of work and work collaboratively with the contractor and operations personnel to resolve issues and barriers.
  • Daily validation and approval of contractorsubmitted labor, equipment and material reports.
  • Responsible to coordinate field activities between contractors and the client's operations team as required.

Requirements:


  • Journeyperson status in a mechanical or electrical trade
  • Previous experience in a brownfield construction environment is required
  • Previous experience at a nuclear facility is preferred
  • Supervisor training/certification required
  • Safety training is highly preferred
  • Proficient computer skills required
  • 10+ years (senior)
