EFRY Hope and Help for Women is a multi-service Women's Organization in Peel is seeking a qualified HR Business Partner to work with the Senior Administrative Team.

Providing a full range of HR services to over 100 staff.


Human Resources Business Partner
Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours / week)


The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) is the sole representative of the HR department, facilitating all basic HR activities and additional administrative deliverables within the organization.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Human Resources Business Partner is a dynamic, personable and collaborative professional, who has experience in a variety of HR activities such as:
recruitment and selection, performance management, training, organizational development, employee relations and benefits administration.


The Human Resources Business Partner is able to establish and leverage strong relationships with management to positively impact employees' professional experience, all while contributing to the success of the organization.


Areas of Responsibility:


  • Provides support, direction, and guidance to various Managers and/or Directors in the area of employee relations, team effectiveness, people leadership and employee development.
  • Drives employee engagement, leading change, and aligning people practices with women's organizations philosophies, service model principles, and values.
  • Ensures the continuous improvement and/or harmonization of the HR programs, policies and procedures as well as working conditions.
  • Operational Knowledge of Ceridian HR Services and Dayforce
  • Supports Managers and Coordinators with the annual performance review process by training employees and managers, developing SMART goals, and monitoring completed reviews.
  • Processes newhire paperwork, including background checks, mandatory prerequisites for employment (i.e. TB Test, medical clearance, First Aid + CPR certification, etc.).
  • Manages the organization's HRIS system Dayforce
  • Plans and coordinates special events, team building exercises, and employee service award and recognition programs.
  • Manages general office administration, including acting as the main point of contact for the organization's commercial insurance program (i.e. oversees the renewal process on an annual basis, provides certificates of insurance to stakeholders, etc.).
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or designate.
  • Postsecondary education in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 35 years of experience in a HRBP position
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
  • An understanding of employment standards, HR principles, and relevant legislation (i.e. Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Human Rights, Pay Equity, etc.)
  • General knowledge of recruitment and selection, training and development, employee relations, and performance appraisals
  • Ability to remain efficient and extremely organized while handling a high volume of work
  • An understanding of the importance of maintaining the accuracy and integrity of all HR data
  • A trustworthy and diplomatic approach, capable of handling highly sensitive and confidential information
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Detailoriented and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize, multitask, plan, and manage projects and initiatives
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A demonstrated ability to foster healthy workplaces, free from discriminatory practices and recognize the values involved with actively moving toward greater inclusivity and equity.
  • A clear Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSC) criminal background check
  • A valid Ontario driver's license
