We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and experienced AVP, Specialty to join our team.
This role is accountable for the profit and loss of our Lifestyle portfolio within Personal Insurance, including the product development and maintenance of all Lifestyle and High Net Worth products.
The AVP is a key contact for MGU/MGA partners and strategic brokers, nurtures relationships, builds opportunities and provides strategic support.

What you'll do- Work with the VP of Specialty Personal Insurance and other business leaders, acting as the business owner, to drive profitable growth and competitiveness of the Business across the country.- Develop and execute a robust business strategy to propel the business forward through profitable growth focused on data and insights- Act as a general manager of the Business to fully understand all issues and opportunities and to develop plans, objectives and strategies for the Business while communicating, collaborating, influencing, and driving all functional areas of the organization to achieve efficient outcomes for the organization- Build positive relationships of trust and mutual respect with colleagues.
What you'll bring- University degree and/or College Diploma specializing in Business- Advanced degree and/or professional qualification preferred- Extensive (7+ years) experience in the P&C industry with a proven track record of success- Established credibility in the industry and/or marketplace.- Considerable experience delivering profitable growth- Experience in the product development lifecycle & managing leaders in a matrix structure- Experience in B2B relationship management- Excellent relationship capabilities and high degree of influencing skill- Excellent quantitative and critical thinking skills- Deep technical knowledge of pricing, underwriting and actuarial techniques- Strong financial discipline and an understanding of financial issues related to insurance companies and reinsurance processes and products- Excellent strategic analytical skills- Leadership skills with the ability to lead, empower, challenge, and influence cross-functional teams and deliver outstanding results- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively communicate at all levels.- Strong customer focus and partner leadership skills.
