The Toronto office has an opening for an Intermediate Hydraulic Modeler to join their Municipal Conveyance team.


Duties:


  • Develop hydraulic/hydrologic models for the water/ wastewater/ stormwater systems.
  • Perform infrastructure assessment/planning studies including Environmental Assessments (EA), Master Plans, Basement flooding, capacity analysis, Flood risk assessments, etc.
  • Work in a team environment on a variety of projects that would include model build and system analysis to assess system performance and use the model to develop solutions and strategies for improvement.
  • Support various groups across the company with hydraulic modeling and analysis and develop models to determine sound solutions for various private and municipal projects and clients.
  • Assist with proposal development including writeup, project schedule, and fee estimation for modeling and associated engineering works.
  • Perform necessary modeling tasks to support the design teams.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior staff in performing their tasks.
  • Prepare technical memorandums/ reports.
  • Perform any other technical tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil Engineering or related field, from an accredited postsecondary institution.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario or eligible to obtain the license within the next 1 year
  • 57 years of progressive experience in water, wastewater, stormwater systems modeling and analysis
  • Aptitude for meeting schedule and budgets, proposal writing, and client development.
  • Proven capabilities in planning and writing reports and other technical documents.
  • Possess a strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients.
  • Hands on experience in InfoWorks and/or InfoWater.
  • Working knowledge of GIS tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
