Responsibilities for assistant housekeeper

• To be acting Executive Housekeeper when Executive Housekeeper is off the property.
• Inspect all public areas daily.
• Personally supervises the cleaning of rooms and when completed informs Executive Housekeeper of any issues.
• Manages and coordinates all departmental team members in their various work assignments to ensure a department that is run efficiently and productively in providing excellence in cleaning services to the guests and owners.
• Supervises staff under the direction of the housekeeping department and performs administrative tasks associated with maintaining proper documentation such as investigating accidents and initiates accident reports recommending appropriate corrective action.
• Inform Head housekeeper of any issues during the day and while Head housekeeper is away.

Qualifications for assistant housekeeper

• Must be able to work a flexible shift including weekends and holidays.
• Must have the ability to work PM Shift-If needed.

• Team spirit

• Attention to detail and quality and guestoriented.
• Must have experience.
• Ability to take over in laundry, cleaning rooms, common areas when needed.
• Must have WHMIS.
• Ability to inspect rooms and count inventory and inform Head Housekeeper when something is needed.
• Ability to clean and perform housekeeping duties in a lodging facility.
