About Us
Candesto has been an industry leader in Western Canada for installation services for traffic control systems, ground-mounted and overhead highway signs, guardrails, and barrier systems for more than 25 years.
We are looking to add an Operations Manager for our construction projects.
As a vital part of the operations team, the Operations Manager will play an integral role in overseeing work on project sites, meeting project deadlines, and ensuring safe and effective operations.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize equipment, labour, and materials for foreman and superintendents
- Work with Project Managers to organize project schedule, timelines, and deadlines for work completion
- Establish and communicate crew schedules, project work locations, and deadlines
- Oversee effective operations on project sites and ensure superintendents meet expectations
- Oversee equipment repairs and maintenance schedules
- Communicate with Project Managers and Clients regarding scope of work
- Provide leadership, direction, and training to superintendents and crews
- Work with Human Resources in hiring and training superintendents and crews
- Performing quality control checks and completing required documentation
- Aiding crews on site in operating equipment or labour to ensure effective project outcomes
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of previous construction experience
- 23 years of previous supervisory or management experience
- Preferably, experience with installation of guard rail, cable barrier, and highway sign structures
- Preferably, Completion of a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management is an asset
- Demonstrated time management, scheduling and negotiations skills
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Must be organized and flexible to changing business conditions and a fastpast work environment
- Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft office suite of products
- Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver's license
Hours of Work
Hours of work may vary depending upon project schedules and timelines; however, must be capable of working a minimum schedule of Monday through Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with weekend and evening work when required.
