We are looking to add an Operations Manager for our construction projects.

As a vital part of the operations team, the Operations Manager will play an integral role in overseeing work on project sites, meeting project deadlines, and ensuring safe and effective operations.

Responsibilities:

Plan and organize equipment, labour, and materials for foreman and superintendents
Work with Project Managers to organize project schedule, timelines, and deadlines for work completion
Establish and communicate crew schedules, project work locations, and deadlines
Oversee effective operations on project sites and ensure superintendents meet expectations
Oversee equipment repairs and maintenance schedules
Communicate with Project Managers and Clients regarding scope of work
Provide leadership, direction, and training to superintendents and crews
Work with Human Resources in hiring and training superintendents and crews
Performing quality control checks and completing required documentation
Aiding crews on site in operating equipment or labour to ensure effective project outcomes
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

5+ years of previous construction experience
23 years of previous supervisory or management experience
Preferably, experience with installation of guard rail, cable barrier, and highway sign structures
Preferably, Completion of a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management is an asset
Demonstrated time management, scheduling and negotiations skills
Strong communication and leadership skills
Must be organized and flexible to changing business conditions and a fastpast work environment
Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft office suite of products
Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver's license

Hours of Work

Hours of work may vary depending upon project schedules and timelines; however, must be capable of working a minimum schedule of Monday through Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with weekend and evening work when required.
